ContraCorriente

Through prayer, a vision to gather the Christian youth scattered throughout the nation of Spain was birthed.

The idea was to organize events for these young people to encourage them in their personal relationship with God and to help them build the Church in Spain.

The first youth conference was in 1997 and there has been an annual one ever since as well as other events.

Thousands of young people’s lives have been touched by God at ContraCorriente events, many have met Jesus for the first time, and many have recommitted their lives to God.

Other fruit that we have seen is the launching of many ministries by young people throughout Spain; a well known one would be 24-7 Prayer Spain.

ContraCorriente (which means “Against the Flow”) exists to motivate, mentor and mobilize young people to live the Great Commandment and fulfil the Great Commission.

ContraCorriente has a Pastoral Team which is formed by a team of Spanish pastors as well as Pastor Mark Jobe, from New Life Community Church , Chicago.

ContraCorriente has a great relationship with many youth and mission organizations, both Spanish and international ones (Youth with a Mission, La Resistencia, 24-7 Prayer, etc.).
